The Beaumont Hotel, has welcomed generations of travellers in the heart of Otago since the 1870s.

Gold Rush Origins (1870s–1931)
Originally known as 'The Bridge Hotel' it served miners, farmers, and travellers journeying through the Teviot Valley, offering hot meals, shared stories, and a place to rest on the goldfields trail.

Fire & Rebirth (1931–1938)
The original building was destroyed by fire in 1931. In 1938, it was rebuilt in brick, a modest, durable pub that stands strong on State Highway 8 to this day.

Todays Vision
From goldfields to today, the Beaumont has stood strong and will remain one of NZ’s last Iconic country Hotel's.
